Clare Williams

Early Years Education Consultant

Location: Based in Birmingham,
West Midlands, UK

I know and understand the challenges faced by practitioners and leaders in early years settings as I have over 26 years experience working within the Early Years phase of education within both special school and mainstream provision.

I am committed to ensuring we meet the right of each child to high quality early childhood education.

I have been a head teacher for 12 years and over this time successfully built a highly regarded, consistently outstanding and effective Nursery School and Children’s Centre at the heart of an inner city community.

Through my leadership journey I have built and shared my expertise through work with students in training, providing advice and support to both private, voluntary and other early years settings locally and nationally as well leading conferences and workshops.

As a Consultant, I keep my feet on the ground and make sure I keep up to date with the realities of day to day life in early years by working with children and staff in settings at least one day a week.

I also work with staff in schools and early years settings, raising aspirations, improving practices, challenging thinking and offering professional development opportunities  as well as supporting them in  communicating their successes and managing change.
